Bill Vincent
Managing Partner of VTS Investigations, LLC. Graduate of the Illinois Police Training Institute. Former City Metropolitan Police Officer. Licensed Illinois Private Detective. Holds memberships in the National Association of Legal Investigators, Associated Detectives of Illinois, World Association of Detectives and the National Association of Professional Process Servers. Over 28 years experience in the private sector specializing in litigation, fraud, background intelligence, due diligence and security-related matters. Bill has been the lead investigator in numerous plus million dollar verdict cases.

Two time recipient of the National Association of Legal Investigators Directors Award and Life Member of this litigation oriented group. Bill has made numerous presentations to the investigative and legal society in matters dealing with the use of investigators in litigation. Appeared in several episodes of a national Emmy winning television show detailing the workings of a private investigator.

Lisa Hansen
Partner at VTS Investigations, LLC. Supervisor and coordinator of all public record requests, background checks, government and court-related document retrieval. Known in our agency as “Ms. Cook County.” Lisa is thoroughly knowledgeable about the inner workings of the Cook County and U. S. District Chicago Court system.

Lisa works with law firms and other providers all over the country coordinating document and record requests throughout the Chicago Metropolitan area. A member of the National Public Record Retrievers Association and graduate of St. Xavier’s University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.

Heidi Berna
Heidi is the Manager of our Elgin, Illinois office of VTS Investigations, LLC and has prior experience in a large litigation law firm. Supervises all areas involving customer service matters, witness/defendant location inquiries and service of legal process. Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice.

Donald Goedke
Licensed Private Detective. Strong technical background in electronics and communications. Designs and installs specialized covert video systems related to corporate, legal and insurance matters. Certified in Electronic Countermeasures and Debugging Sweeps utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and techniques. Holds an Extra Amateur Radio License and certified in all related communications areas in the U. S. Coast Guard. Served in the United States Navy. Primarily works in Florida location.

Jim Burns
Jim spent 26 years in Law Enforcement and retired as a Deputy Chief from the City of Elgin, Illinois. He is State of Illinois-Certified Accident Reconstruction Specialist graduating from the world renowned Northwestern University Traffic Institute. Graduate of Loyola University & the Illinois Police Training Institute. Deputy Chief with the Elgin Police Department and former Commander of the Traffic Accident Investigation Division. Jim handles all forms of litigation oriented investigation but specializes in traffic reconstruction, personal injury and work related injuries and disabilities.

Sue Erickson
Sue is the Manager of our Process Division and a graduate of Judson College. Sue coordinates the distribution of all legal documents that are sent to our agency for service.

Sue is thoroughly knowledgeable in the service of process laws and requirements in the State of Illinois. In addition to Illinois Process, she also coordinates the forwarding of legal document for our agency to out of state servers.

Doreen Warner
Doreen is assigned to the skip tracing division of VTS Investigations. Her responsibilities include the location of witnesses and defendants involved in matters of litigation. Doreen is very familiar with the suburban district courthouses of Cook County and the collar counties. Her ability to research and locate cases and public record documents on point has provided our clients with the information necessary to render effective decisions. Doreen has been working in the investigative research industry since 1991.

Leroy Karczewski
Leroy is the top process server at our agency and possesses the street smarts to get the job done. Leroy received his education on the tough streets on the south side of Chicago and always gets that paper served. Leroy has an advanced degree in martial arts but relies on his intelligence, polite manner, and unique ability to talk to people in order to make legal service and develop the information necessary for our cases.

Amy Braley
Amy is assigned to the investigative division of VTS Investigations. Amy has strong skills both in the area of research and in the field. Amy routinely interviews witnesses and others that possess information on the litigation matters being investigated by our agency.

Amy has prior experience working as an investigator for the City of Chicago and a national financial oriented investigative agency. She has a degree in Criminal Justice from Valparaiso University.

Mike Dennis
Mike Dennis brings 25 years of experience as a special agent for the FBI to the private industry. He became a Technically Trained Agent (TTA) and a member of the FBI’s Technical Operations Squad in Chicago, since its inception in 1979.

Mike was appointed Technical Advisor for the Chicago Field Office of the FBI from 1990 to 1994, and again, from 1997 to December 2000. For his work in electronic surveillance and countermeasures, he has received over 70 commendations.

As a member of the Technical Response Team – an elite team of special agents – Mike conducted electronic countermeasure sweeps of 17 U.S. embassies and 21 domestic government facilities.

Mike has received extensive training from the FBI and CIA in the areas of electronic surveillance and countermeasures. He has just recently become a fully licensed Private Investigator for the state of Illinois. He is a member of the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS).
